Anseth Music Lessons

Anseth Music Lessons Logo

My primary goal with my students is to help them build a solid foundation in the basics of music, empowering them to grow into self-sufficient musicians.

It is my belief that in order to become a well rounded musician, it is vital to develop keen ears, knowledge of basic chords, understanding of music theory, as well as the ability to read music. I am a very patient teacher and I stick with each lesson until the student can demonstrate mastery of the topic or skill at hand. That having been said, if the student practices regularly, I can guarantee a student's progress, having fun all the while!

Email me for information regarding my current rates.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,

Patrick Anseth

Testimonials:

I really enjoyed your class, and was able to actually learn theory and understand it! In most theory classes I felt lost, and the work was overwhelming, but with your class I was able to learn and comprehend theory, and apply it to my music writing and study.

Former OSA student - Class of 2014-15

Patrick has been a guitar instructor for my nine year old boy for many months. Not only is my son reading music, he is developing confidence in his skills and training his ear as well. And perhaps most important, he loves lessons with Patrick and practices without prodding. Patrick’s patient and encouraging teaching philosophy coupled with his depth of musical knowledge make him a great teacher. We feel so fortunate to have found Patrick and would recommend him to anyone who has an interest in learning guitar.

I have been taking guitar lessons from Patrick for almost three years and he is the best teacher I've ever had. He has an immense knowledge in guitar especially jazz theory and is great at teaching them. Unlike some teachers who just teach out of a book, Patrick really involves the student through application and in my case through improvising and jamming on a jazz standard. He is a very patient and understanding teacher who puts pressure to practice daily but who also understands that school and other activities can interfere.

He is a great teacher and I would definitely recommend him to any guitarist from someone whose just starting guitar to someone who wants to learn complex jazz theory.

My son has been taking guitar from Patrick for several years. Not only is Patrick a very talented musician, but he is also an inspiration and has instilled in my son an enduring love of jazz. We are lucky to have found such a wonderful teacher.
